Planning a vegan trip to London this year? Not to worry! There is so much a vegan can do in this veg-friendly European city full of history, spectacular architecture, rich culture and delicious food. From your hotel to attractions to must-eats, we’re happy to tell you that London has it all!
Here is our complete guide to travelling London – including where to stay and what to eat.
Where To Stay
There are no 100% vegan hotels in London; however, there is quite a selection of fine hotels that serve vegan-friendly food and offer an amazing dining experience and stay.
Egerton House Hotel
If you want to dive into the experience a 5-star hotel has to offer, then our top recommendation would be the Egerton House Hotel. Elegance and luxury are the simplicities of this hotel, and you can treat yourself to the best vegan afternoon tea for £40 per person.
Rooms start at £345 per night, including taxes and fees. They have many luxurious suites to choose from, including Classic Double, Deluxe Queen, Deluxe King, the Studio Suite, as well as the Victoria & Albert Suite, and they have rooms that can accommodate up to five people.
While there is no formal restaurant at The Egerton, there are many fine-dining restaurants around the Knightsbridge area. Guests can also enjoy the luxury of having food delivered in-suite, and can treat themselves to the bar or lounge. Vegan options are, however, limited in the hotel; their 24-hour breakfast menu is almost entirely composed of eggs and meat, and the only vegan option you’ll find is their seasonal fruit salad.
However, there are many upscale restaurants in the Knightsbridge area that will be happy to serve you a special vegan meal!

La Suite West
Just a 5 minute walk from Hyde Park, La Suite West Hotel in London is a top recommendation for those of you who want easy access to eating at your hotel. This 4-star hotel has a more contemporary feel on the inside, with many rooms and suites to choose from.
They have vegan dining at the hotel and have their own vegan afternoon tea for £29 per person, which includes one glass of non-alcoholic fizz. Their afternoon tea menu is composed of finger sandwiches, scones and a selection of scrumptious cakes and desserts.
Location: La Suite West – Hyde Park, 41-51 Inverness Terrace, London, W2 3JN

Milestone Hotel
Looking for a hotel with history written all over its walls? Check out the Milestone Hotel, located in the elegant Kensington area of West London.
This red brick hotel stands out amongst the white buildings surrounding it, and while this 5-star hotel’s restaurant, Cheneston’s, focuses mainly on meats and roasts, there are a few vegan options you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Their A La Carte menu features a quinoa salad starter with beetroot, goat’s cheese and roasted walnuts, but we’re sure you can order the dish without cheese.
You can book a room or suite, or even an apartment if you want the ultimate luxury experience. Their apartments include: Victoria and Albert; Apartment Two; William and Catherine; The Edwardian; Kensington Court; and Rooftops. They also offer family apartments so that the entire family can unwind together. You can also choose to book a room from one of their many rooms/suites, each offering the luxury experience you are looking for.

What To Eat
While vegan high tea at London hotels sounds so good, it is a known fact that hotels do not provide the best array of vegan dishes. For this, you’ll have to visit restaurants – and you’re in luck! London has an infinite number of vegan and veg-friendly restaurants that you can happily dine at.
Manna has left its doors open since 1966, serving beautifully presented vegetarian and vegan dishes. From their lunch menu, we highly recommend their Raw Maki Rolls. From their dinner menu, Nachos Especiales and Warm Rainbow Panzanella are must-tries.

The gorgeous, Art-deco inspired space at Vanilla Black will instantly draw your eyes to it. They are a modern, upscale eatery, boasting a reputation for being London’s finest vegetarian restaurant.

Their A La Carte menu, available for lunch and dinner, offers a few delicious vegan dishes, while most of their menu is vegetarian. Andina Picantería and Pisco Bar
Andina is a colourful, funky restaurant that serves innovative, Peruvian-inspired dishes – with vegan options. You can try Peruvian-inspired ceviches, street food, cocktails or smoothies. This eatery is also very popular amongst vegan locals and travellers alike, even though they are not a 100% vegan restaurant.
For their best vegan dishes, lunch and dinner are the best times to go. We highly recommend their Crunchy Corn “Cancha” (£2.50), Poncho de Palta (£8) and Causa Huácino (£5).
They also have a kids menu (food costs £8.50 per child), but it includes a main, a side, one drink and dessert.

Searching for a different kind of European experience in London? Head on over to Pied à Terre to try Modern French cuisine. Established in 1901, this restaurant has received many awards and offers both a vegan tasting menu and a vegetarian tasting menu – but for a hefty price of £94.
It comes with “seven courses of inventive dishes which are popular vegetarian and non vegetarian diners. A selection of canapes and a pre dessert are in addition to the seven courses.” That being said, their vegan dishes are very unique and delicious and are worth the price.
They are even “often described as the best restaurant in London.”
