H&M, the popular Swedish clothing brand, has just added vegan brushes to their cruelty-free line of cosmetics.
In September, 2015, H&M launched a cruelty-free cosmetics line, which now has over 700 products. However, H&M has decided to make a major change to their makeup brushes, as they are turning these beauty tools into 100% vegan brushes.
“We will phase out all animal hair used in our Beauty tools and brushes by 2017. There are so many high-quality, cruelty-free options available today so we have decided to take the step and phase out the animal deriving hair from our Beauty range,” H&M explains.
It’s a big step forward for companies to be getting rid of their animal products and switching to cruelty-free and vegan options. While not all of H&M’s products in their cruelty-free line are vegan, it is great that they have decided to make a change to their brushes. Hopefully, H&M will soon “veganize” all of their beauty products and set a good example for other companies to follow.
