Prince Harry decided to pass this year on the Royal Family’s summer holiday grouse hunting tradition at Balmoral. According to the Mirror, his wife, Meghan Markle, may be the force behind it.
This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has decided to pick moral over tradition. Last Christmas, the British monarch also missed out on the family’s Boxing Day hunt. The Sun believes the reason why he missed out was because he didn’t want to upset Markle.
According to a royal insider: “Meghan is a keen animal rights campaigner and doesn’t like hunting in any form,” adding that “if it means breaking with long-standing traditions to avoid upsetting her, so be it.”
Markle also refuses to wear fur or leather, and follows a predominantly vegan diet.
While the news brings about mixed opinions, many are hopeful that Markle’s stand against animal cruelty will bring about more positive change. She is also working on helping Prince Harry switch his diet and become mostly vegan.

That is amazing I didn’t know that Megan Markle was such compassionate animal loving person I applaud her in every way also encouraging a royal to follow suit is a big step forward in the pursuit to ban hunting with live animals, hopefully this world is becoming a better place to live in
