Luxury brand von Holzhausen originally sold both vegan and leather luxury bags, but now they’ve decided to ditch leather altogether and go 100% vegan!
The brand decided to become cruelty-free after realizing that they no longer wanted to support animal torture and slaughter for leather-based goods. The new “Technik-Leather” used by the company is “better than leather,” and is resistant to stains and scratches, and is only one-third the weight of animal leather.
“Technik-Leather is a 100% animal free, intelligent material with science behind it,” the company writes on their website. “It is meticulously designed to have the supple hand of traditional leather combined with the durability of an engineered performance fabric, making it a truly premium material.”
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are also celebrating by offering a free giveaway. All you have to do is follow PETA and von Holzhausen on Instagram from March 5 through 9 for a chance to win a beautiful white bag.
