Animal Rights Group Wants Vegan-Friendly Options at Applebee’s

Applebee’s is one of the most popular eateries in the United States of America. However, while they are a popular restaurant chain, they do not offer any vegan-friendly dishes, repelling vegans from their friendly space. Nevertheless, an animal rights group wants to change that!

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) launched a campaign aiming to get Applebee’s to add vegan options to their menu.

With over 2,000 locations across the United States, Applebee’s features dishes with chicken, shrimp, steak and ribs. Their only plant-based options include fries, pickles, and guacamole, which is not enough to satisfy someone’s hunger.

However, now that veganism is on the rise and several American restaurants have added veg-friendly options, maybe it’s time for Applebee’s to make some beneficial changes as well.

It is stated in the campaign that, “Demand for vegan food has never been higher, and countless companies are stepping up with exciting options. To just name a few, there are vegan burgers at Red Robin, Denny’s, White Castle, and Johnny Rockets; vegan chicken at Yard House and Tropical Smoothie Café; tofu options at Chipotle, Moe’s, P.F. Chang’s, and Noodles & Company; and vegan cheese at about 40 pizza chains around the country.”

Anyone who agrees with PETA’s campaign can sign their petition. After all, wouldn’t it benefit a restaurant to serve options for everyone?
