Vegan Mac and Cheese Recalled After Dairy Allergen Suspected

Boulder Brands, Inc. has voluntarily recalled their Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Mac & Cheese and Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Mac & Cheese after consumers were suspecting that a dairy allergen may be present in these products.

Several consumers have informed the company about their concerns regarding allergic reactions to the two products. This left the company with no choice but to announce a recall.

The many stores carrying these products will remove them from store shelves. The recalled products include those expiring in 2017.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is aware of this recall and lists the products that are being recalled by the following “best by” dates:

Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese 6oz Package

Earth Balance Vegan White Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese 6oz Package

No other Earth Balance products or any other items produced by Boulder Brands will be affected by this recall. However, those who have an allergy to dairy should not consume these products until they have been proven safe.
