Major US coffee chain Peet’s Coffee & Tea is introducing a fall favourite to its menu this year: a limited edition vegan pumpkin spice latte.
The drink will debut on August 31 and will be available until October 31, making it the perfect addition to the fall season in the US this year. The latte itself features hand-pulled espresso and the festive pumpkin, topped with a series of delicious and fragrant spices.
“We’re pleased to present this classic fall flavour in a new way to our customers by offering an entirely non-dairy beverage by preparing these and other favourites with coconut milk and optionally topping them with our premium coconut cream,” said Peet’s Senior R&D Manager Patrick Main.
The fact that Peet’s offers a vegan version of the pumpkin spice latte and Starbucks, who created the drink, does not, tells us that it’s time for Starbucks to step up their vegan drink menu – and Peet’s may be the right motivation.
Last year, Peet’s introduced vegan coconut-based whipped cream as a topping for your drink, and we’re excited to see what they come up with next. But for now, it’s time to get ready to run over to your local Peet’s location and grab your pumpkin spice latte any time soon!
