When Pamela Anderson first announced that she would be opening a vegan restaurant in the South of France, we couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing the place would be. Now, she’s stepped out of the venture just after 9 days due to “circumstances out of her control.”

Anderson did not give any specific details as to what these “circumstances” are; however, she claims that the staff were being “mistreated” and there was a “complete lack of respect” from the chef.

To recap: Anderson partnered with chef Christophe Leroy to open a 50-day vegan restaurant, La Table du Marché, in Saint-Tropez, France. However, it also had a personal story behind it, as she was hoping to meet with President Macron to discuss asylum for her boyfriend, Julian Assange, who is currently stuck at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, England.

She’s very disappointed about it all and was excited to run the project in her favourite village, hoping to help animals, but she will continue to find other ways to help them. As for Assange, they will have to find another way to help him become a free citizen once again.
