Vegan sushi restaurant based in New York City, Beyond Sushi, is expanding quickly, as it will soon be opening its sixth location. On April 23, head on over to 215 Mulberry Street in the hip SoHo district to get a taste of 100% vegan sushi.
Beyond Sushi was founded back in 2012 by Chef Guy Vaknin and his wife, Tali. Their innovative plant-based versions of this Japanese food are a hit, considering 40% of their customers don’t even follow the plant-based lifestyle.
“Our goal is to serve the SoHo community the same high quality, fresh vegan food that we have been providing since 2012,” Tali said in a press release. “We hope to tap into a whole new market of customers who have yet to try our creations.”
Beyond Sushi’s popularity in New York City is a result of the growing vegan population. As more and more people learn about the health and environmental concerns associated with animal agriculture, more and more people begin digging into plant-based options.
In addition, Beyond Sushi will be donating 50% of first-day sales to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary.
That’s what people call a company with a conscience.
