Field Roast already had an expansive range of vegan products. From meat-free artisan sausages to dairy-free cheese slices, there was something for everyone. Now, they’ve added vegan mayonnaise and butter to their growing range of plant-based products.
The two new products, called Chao Mayo and Chao Butter Spread, are considered “New Family Classics.” It is described by the company as “[s]mooth and balanced.”
Last month, Field Roast announced the release of three new vegan salad dressings in an effort to provide innovative flavours, rather than just “mimic the traditional flavours [of animal products].”
The company was bought last year by Canadian meat giant Maple Leaf Foods for $120 million. Maple Leaf Foods believes that plant-based products are needed to secure their future.
