A brand new vegan restaurant opened its doors in Manhattan, New York, and made earth shattering news when we found out that they would be donating 100% of their profits to charity.

Craig Cochran and Jeffrey LaPadula are the duo behind the new restaurant, P.S. Kitchen, located at 246 W. 48th St. in Hell’s Kitchen.

“This has been three and a half years in the making,” said Cochran, who also owns vegan fast casual chain Terri.

“The concept came from a friend of mine who is a philanthropist. She thought it would be fun to have a bar/lounge where all profits would be donated to charity.”

The restaurant’s mission depicts social conscience, as the goal is to break the cycle of poverty.

“We commit our energy, passion, and time to giving others a ‘hand up’ rather than a ‘hand out,'” reads their mission statement about non-profit work. “Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty by connecting resources to vulnerable communities, providing tools necessary for self-sustainability, and building meaningful relationships with our neighbours, near and far. That makes a social business. That makes P.S.”

P.S. Kitchen boasts a modern space in a 100-year old building and houses 32 seats with an extra 9 at the bar.
