SugarHouse Casino, located in Philadelphia, is hosting a vegan food festival later this August.

This casino will be the host building of the vegan event, S.E.E.D. (Sustainable Everyday Edibles and Drinkables), from 2 pm to 6 pm on August 14, 2016.

This event will showcase dishes from several talented people and companies, such as Rachel Klein, Vegan Chef Lenka, MomPops, the Soy Cafe, Sweet Freedom Bakery and many others. There will also be 18 breweries participating at this event.

Amongst talented chefs and many others, there will also be vegan exhibitions such as Buck County’s Grape Cat Vegan Clothing & Accessories, V Marks the Shop brand, and Indraloka Animal Sanctuary from Mehoopany, Pa.

“Our original idea was just to have it vegetarian,” stated Garrett Williams, one of the event’s organizers, “but then we thought, why not take it a step further, you know, so that everyone’s included?”

Meredith Rebar, the other organizer, wanted the event to be a place where guests could eat without having to check labels and ask about the ingredients used to make the dishes. All of the dishes and drinks will be 100% vegan.

Guests can also get a kick out of some entertainment, as there will be two DJs and more to enjoy.

On top of all the fun, every single attendee will be entered to possibly win a free dinner that is all-vegan and a tour of Zahav restaurant’s kitchen.
