Non-profit organization The Vegetarian Resource Group (VRG) has started a scholarship program this year for students graduating in the US.
Two $5,000 scholarships and one $10,000 scholarship will be awarded to U.S. students graduating in Spring 2017 who have promoted vegetarianism in their school or community.
The VRG states: “Applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle. Payment will be made to the student’s college (U.S. based only).”
Students interested can apply by February 20, 2017. The VRG promotes early submissions.
