19-year old vegan surfer Tia Blanco won her second gold medal at the 2016 International Surfing Association (ISA) World Surfing Games in Costa Rica. This has made her the ISA World Surf Champion twice.

Last year, Tia Blanco placed first at the ISA World Surfing Games. Now, she has made history by placing gold two years in a row.

Ms. Blanco’s success has given her a chance to compete at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo as a part of Team USA. The ISA petitioned to add surfing as a sport for the very first time in the 2020 Olympic games, and they were successful! In 2019, Ms. Blanco will find out whether or not she qualifies for the Olympics during events. Although, her two successful wins has made her a first priority to represent Team USA.

On the other hand, Ms. Blanco has been successful in other areas of life, as she is the new ambassador of VeganSmart. The company is very happy to be collaborating with an amazing woman.

“We at VeganSmart not only aspire to change the perception of what it looks like to live a plant-based lifestyle, but we also want to partner with people who are breaking barriers in their own lane,” stated VeganSmart CMO Kareem Cook. “Tia Blanco’s accomplishments are an inspiration on many fronts. We’re excited to partner with someone so diverse and passionate about health and wellness.”

Anyone would love to partner with Ms. Blanco! After all, she is not only a known vegan and a professional surfer, but she is a yogi and animal rights activist as well.

The first product that will be established from the partnership between Ms. Blanco and VeganSmart will be a brand new flavor of VeganSmart itself.

“I am so excited to partner up with VeganSmart,” said Ms. Blanco. “They make the best tasting powder out and I have been using it with my smoothies for several years. I look forward to collaborating on my own signature flavor.”

Other items coming from this amazing collaboration include unique recipes, merchandise, accessories, content on YouTube, as well as in-store appearances.

Prior to partnering with VeganSmart, Ms. Blanco helped promote the vegan company Beyond Meat. She was a part of their athlete-packed campaign, which was launched last year. Many professional athletes came together to promote being an athlete while consuming plant-based proteins.

Overall, Ms. Blanco has earned her way to fame and has helped promote veganism. Her successful win and collaboration with VeganSmart has been a good step forward for herself and her vegan career. We wish her luck at the trials for the 2020 Olympic Games!
