The first ever Vegan Grilled Cheese Invitational is hitting Culver City, CA. It will take place at Sage Organic Vegan Bistro this Sunday, July 17th.
Ten talented chefs – including one duo – from vegan and non-vegan restaurants will be using plant-based cheese to create amazing grilled sandwiches that will be tasted by five famous judges, as well as guests who will be allowed to vote for their favourite sandwich.
Chefs include Mollie Englehart from the host restaurant itself, Sage Vegan Organic Bistro; Nick Haymen from eLOVate Vegan Kitchen and Juicery, which is now permanently closed; James Wolfe from the Grilled Cheese Truck; Ted Hirsh from the Blind Barber; Ernesto Moreno from Cafe Gratitude and more.
Tickets to this event cost $15 and all of the proceeds will be donated to PETA. This event will start at 11 a.m. and finish at 3 p.m.
